DCA, through its Allied Division will, if requested, act as the bargaining agent between members and their trade union. DCA's Executive Vice President, John Casey, is currently serving along with 23 other members on the DelDOT Transportation Trust Fund Task Force that was established by this past year's Bond Bill to thoroughly explore, examine and evauate the resource needs for the comprehensive Capital Transportation Program (CTP).

DCA has established and maintained an effective relationship with all leaders of governments in Delaware.

DCA serves as the watch dog of the public bidding process in Delaware and works to preserve the sanctity of that process.

DCA authored the State’s Transportation Trust Fund and continues to actively lobby for adequate capital funding for the transportation system.

DCA continues to lobby for funding for the state’s Capital Budget/Public Works Program.

DCA played an integral role in helping the state Department of Administrative Services develop and secure passage of legislation establishing Delaware’s Prequalification Program for Public Work.

DCA has a committee that meets regularly with DelDOT officials to resolve issues of concern and to improve the way the industry works with DelDOT.

Political Action Committee (PAC) – DCA’s PAC is the Civic Affairs Construction Council (CACC). It is funded by our members and allows DCA to contribute to officials who support the Association and industry.

DCA’s staff works diligently to block the passage of legislation and adoption of regulations that are harmful to the industry, and pursues passage of legislation, adoption of regulations and implementation of programs to benefit the construction industry.
