2010 Crab Feast

We had another very successful Crab Feast on a beautiful day.  There was a threat of rain but the sun was on our side and shined through the clouds.  The perfect location at Blue Diamond Park always provides a constant breeze.  We could not ask for a better day.  Thousands of people poured into the event where the crabs were plenty and the beer was continuosly flowing.  Timothy's provided a wonderful buffet of...

Spring Golf Outing

It was absolutely a perfect day for golfing.  Many of our members came out and had a wonderful time and an excellent meal.

Social Media

The boardroom was filled with members eager to learn more about Social Media in the workplace sponsored by our Young Executive Committee (YEC).  The panel offered a world of information that related to the effectiveness of Twitter and Facebook in connecting with prospective customers.  The questions were insightful and generated good ongoing discussions.  This was a very successful and informative breakfast seminar.  T...

Legislative Reception

Once again DCA had a great attendance from both our members and our elected officials at our Legislative Reception in Dover Downs.  The food was fabulous, the drinks were refreshing but having an opportunity to speak one on one with our local elected officials was priceless.  Thank you everyone that came out to a wonderful evening.  Look forward to seeing you next year.

Rizzo's Wine & Cigar Social

What a beautiful day to enjoy some fine wine from Rizzo's Cellar and great cigars from G&G Cigar Company.  We had a wonderful turn out as we do every year.  Many thanks to Joseph Rizzo & Sons Construction Co., Inc. for supplying a beautiful venue for the social.

Spring Clay Shoot

Spring CACC Luncheon

Wow, what a beautiful day we had for our Spring CACC Luncheon at the Wilmington Country Club.  We were honored to have as our featured speaker Dr. Patrick Harker the President of University of Delaware.  He was very informative and gracious to share with our members the many changes that are planned for the University and how those plans can benefit our members.  We had a record number of attendees that exceeded over...

Deer Park Tavern Networking Night

The first Networking Night event for the year was a huge success despite having to change the date because of the threat of snow.  A large number of DCA members came out to enjoy a wonderful buffet of food and plenty of drinks provided by Deer Park Tavern. 

1st Legislative Breakfast

Our first Legislative Breakfast was a great success.  On Tuesday morning, March 9, 2010, more than 60 of our members received an update on the status of the Valero and Fisker projects from Alan Levin and John McMahon, as well as an overview of the state’s economic development efforts. Sec. McMahon also provided an update on the Department of Labor’s programs to assist the displaced workers of our state.
